State Senator Nina Turner (D-Cleveland) will lead a community forum this Sunday, January 17, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the First Unitarian Church in Shaker Heights.
Her topic, "Solving the Challenges of Our Time," will touch on finding meaningful support for families and public education in a down economy. She will also explore how to create a viable future for low-income African-American youth and how to build community leadership.
Childcare will be provided for preschoolers during the program.
Future forum topics include: genetics, our food supply, China, Buddhist perspectives, understanding terrorists, and other thought-provoking subjects.
